Friday Night races at Grand Rapids (MN) Speedway take place at Itasca County Fairgrounds, where West Range Racing, Inc., the local drivers' club promotes weekly WISSOTA-sanctioned racing. The pretty fairgrounds beside a lake is spotless, with freshly painted buildings and tall pines throughout. This race night, sponsored by a local radio station, WRRI hosted just over 60 cars in five classes, headlined with WISSOTA Modifieds, and a family crowd. The fast, well-officiated show was completed around 10 p.m.
